ALIA partnership

Recently Compassionate Ballarat took part in the National Day of Compassion via two events that were linked to the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) partnership. These two events included Compassionate Ballarat members Sam Luxemburg running a session on Emapthy Training at the Peart Wing, and Lynne Reeder running a session on Deep Listening at Ballarat Hospice.

In addition, Lynne was asked to contribute an article for the September/October edition of ALIA’s Magazine INCITE Volume 43 on the theme Deep Listening and Trust. INCITE is distributed to ALIA’s 18,000 members and in her article Lynne explored the importance of Deep Listening in meeting our social need to be heard, respected and understood.
